Special Updates on Silent Auction along with Business and Student Education Awards

We are planning to make the 2008 Silent Auction a record one! We will be creating a special short term Silent Auction Committee whose charge will be to obtain some creative, unique and exciting items for the silent auction that will be held in conjunction with the Chamber's 112th Annual Meeting & Dinner. If you are interested in helping out on this committee, contact Darlene or Rosanne in the Chamber office at 203.235.7901. Secondly, if you know of any Meriden student (high school senior or returning college student) that may need additional funds to help with college expenses, the Chamber offers several $1,000 awards that are also given at the Annual Meeting & Dinner. Applications have been sent to area high schools AND may be downloaded from the Community Services page on the Chamber's website: www.meridenchamber.com. It is highly based on service to our community. The deadline to return the applications is February 29, 2008. Finally, please consider nominating a fellow Chamber member for the Chamber's Business Award (we give one to both a large and small business); or nominate an individual for the Communtiy Partnership Award. These awards are also presented at the Annual Meeting & Dinner. Applications will be sent out soon!
