The school won 6 first-place prizes and 38 awards in their trade areas at a Skills USA / VICA competition in March. William Balch, Skills USA / VICA adviser and an automotive mechanics teacher, is especially proud of the students and their increased participation. Students won awards in plumbing, nurse assisting, electronics, automotive, carpentry, household electrical, graphics, cosmetology, medical terminology, microcomputers, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Wilcox also won the spirit award for the most positive attitude toward their school.
