MidState Medical Center Physician Receives Prestigious Phil Stent Award

MidState Medical Center is pleased to announce that Fred Tilden, MD, medical director of the Emergency Department, has received The Phil Stent Award from the Connecticut Chapter of the College of Emergency Physicians. This prestigious recognition is awarded annually and honors a physician who exemplifies professional attitude and who has made contributions to further emergency medicine in the state of Connecticut.MidState's Dr. Tilden was honored for his own special contributions to the field, as well as his dedication and leadership and for serving as an inspiration to younger generations of emergency medicine physicians.
The Phil Stent Award was conceived by leaders of the Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians in 1992. Dr. Tilden was presented with The Phil Stent Award at a Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2009.
