MidState Dedicates New Pavilion on September 10, 2003. The community joined hospital staff and dignitaries to celebrate the dedication of Pavilion D. This year long expansion added 28 additional in-patient beds, 2 additional operating suites and recovery bays, relocation of the laboratory, creation of a dedicated Digestive Health Center, creation of wound and hyperbaric care, additional physician office space, and additional parking to accommodate patients, visitors, and employees.MidState President and CEO Lucille Janatka beamed as she thanked the Project Team, headed by MidState Executive Vice President and COO Erik Wexler. MidState Medical Center Board President Dr. David Hyman thanked the board of directors and state and local officials for their leadership and support of the project.
According to Ms. Janatka, "This expansion is intended to address the needs of the present while planning for growth and development in capacity and technology for the future."
MidState Medical Center's employee of the year Tyrone Rease was accompanied by city and state officials, hospital administration and board leadership as he cut the ribbon.
