During a month-long fundraising effort, Lido's Pizzeria raised $1,026 for United Way of Meriden and Wallingford's 2005 Community Campaign by donating one dollar for every pizza they sold in October.Owner Pascale Pugliese said: "We believe in supporting groups that are helping our community for over the last ten years. We trust United Way to fund effective programs for children, families and individuals who need assistance in our community. We are pleased to support the United Way again this year."
"The natural disasters that we have encountered this year have drawn many resources. It is critical that we don't forget about the local needs of our community", said Campaign Chair Bernie McLoughlin. "The support of Lido's Pizzeria is essential to helping the people in our community. We thank Lido's for supporting people in our community through the United Way."
