The Volunteer Center of the United Way of Meriden and Wallingford will once again partner with Westfield Shoppingtown and sponsor this year's Giving Tree Program 2004 at Westfield Shoppingtown in Meriden. The Giving Tree holds special wishes for children served by local non-profit agencies. Shoppers are able to participate in the Giving Tree program by selecting a tag from the tree and purchasing a gift for a special child.There were more than 800 tags on the tree last year and we are anticipating an increase in the number of tags for this year. Several agencies, the United Way of Meriden and Wallingford, and the United Way of Southington participate in this annual event. Look for the Giving Tree at Westfield Shoppingtown by mid-November!
