Jeffery Shamas Joins BL Companies

Jeffery Shamas, CE, PWS, SS, of Monroe, CT, has joined BL Companies as the northeast regional manager, environmental resources group. Mr. Shamas has 18 years of extensive technical, project management and senior management experience in natural resources planning and permitting. Prior to joining BL Companies, he was the New England environmental planning and permitting program manager for a private consulting firm. According to James Kodlick, CE, PWS, RPA, environmental resources group manager, and a principal at BL Companies, "We are very pleased that Jeff has joined our team. He is a highly respected manager in the environmental resources field and will be a welcome addition to BL Companies. Jeff will enhance our ability to service private and public clients throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions." Adds Samuel Haydock, MS, LEP, director of northeast environmental operations and a principal at BL Companies, "Jeff's addition strengthens our environmental resources staff and further expands our environmental services in the Northeast beyond site assessment and remediation." Mr. Shamas received a Bachelor of Science degree in ecology from Johnson State College, VT. He is nationally certified as a professional wetland scientist, ecologist and a soil scientist. Mr. Shamas is a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists, the Ecological Society of America, the National Society of Consulting Soil Scientists and the Connecticut Association of Wetland Scientists.
