BL Companies announces principal appointments! Christopher Roof, AIA, CSI, LEEP AP, director of architecture and engineering, who resides in West Hartford, has been named a principal at BL Companies. Mr. Roof has more than 26 years of experience in the fields of architecture. Mr. Roof's experience is not limited to architectural design and construction documents. He has also worked in corporate space planning and interior design and has extensive experience in quality control and construction administration. Mr. Roof earned a bachelor's of science degree in architecture from the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. He is a registered architect and interior designer in Connecticut and a member of American Institute of Architects, Construction Specification Institute and Project Management Institute.Rohan Freeman, PE, LS, director, Hartford operations, has been named a principal at BL Companies. Mr. Freeman, who resides in Rocky Hill, has more than 20 years experience in site/civil engineering and land surveying. He has worked throughout Connecticut and the Northeast. His areas of expertise include project management, site development, highway design, planning & zoning, wetlands and public hearings/presentations, construction supervision, and land surveying for retail, industrial, residential, and public facilities projects. Mr. Freeman earned a bachelor's of science degree in engineering at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. He is a registered professional engineer and a licensed land surveyor in Connecticut. Mr. Freeman is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers and the Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors.
Geoffrey Fitzgerald, PE, manager, civil engineering, has been named a principal at BL Companies. Mr. Fitzgerald, who resides in Burlington, has more than 16 years experience in various types of civil, environmental, and planning projects, including civil and site design, water, sewer and drainage systems design, site remediation projects, environmental permitting, storm water management, underground tank systems, environmental site assessments and report writing, and wetlands restoration and permitting. Mr. Fitzgerald earned a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. He is a registered professional engineer in Connecticut, Maine and Rhode Island.
