Ted J. Mulawka and Carol Brisk have been named the Record-Journal's Salespersons of the Year for 2000 in retail and classified, respectively, announced Raymond U. Roy, Director of Advertising. Ted and Carol received the award based on their sales performance for 2000. The award was based on four categories. Both received trips for two. Ted joined the paper in 1992, having begun his career in advertising at the Middletown Press. He has two associate's degrees from Middlesex Community College in Marketing and General Studies. He and his wife Eileen reside with their daughter in Middletown. He was also salesperson of the year in 1993 and 1998. Carol joined the Record-Journal in 1997. She has been a resident of Meriden for the last five years and has four grown children.
