Middlesex Community College opened its new downtown Meriden Center on January 21, 2004. Middlesex is occupying the fourth and fifth floors at 55 West Main Street. Local officials herald this move into downtown Meriden as a welcome catalyst to encourage more businesses to locate in the revitalized city center. Nearly 40 classes will be offered for both day and evening students, bringing hundreds of students, faculty and visitors into downtown Meriden.
