Westfield Shoppingtown-Meriden is eagerly awaiting the grand opening of Lord & Taylor on September 1, 1999. The event will celebrate the $37.5 million expansion with a 1,800-space parking garage and 28 specialty stores. Lord & Taylor is also celebrating its grand opening with a commitment to women's health issues, including a contribution to the MidState Medical Center's "Wellness For A Lifetime" program. This five-part series, starting in October, will offer nightly sessions at Corometrics Medical Systems in Wallingford. Lord & Taylor will also offer a CD for $ 5.00 with any purchase to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Inc.
