Groundhog Job Shadow Day will be held on February 2, 2005. This date marks a national kickoff to a yearlong initiative that gives students across America the chance to "shadow" a professional in a particular occupation of their choice. This opportunity provides our students with an up close look at how skills learned in school are put to use in the workplace. The Meriden Chamber, in connection with the Meriden public high schools, encourages you to open up your doors to our young students and welcome them into your business. This is a one-time commitment during the school week generally from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you are interested in hosting a student, please contact either Jessica Showerda at F.T.
