CALLING ALL GRANDPARENTS OR CARE GIVERS OF CHILDREN!! Do you realize how much your library, the Meriden Public Library has to offer for children? There are story hours from ages 0-8 during the school year & summer, summer programs for older kids, family programs, and more. Your library has many books for all ages, toys, videos, computer software to take home, magazines, books on tape, songs on tape, check out passes to take the children places. You can also sit and relax while your child plays with our toys, help your child use a computer, read stories, color pictures, play games, participate in special programs, ask the staff about places in Connecticut you can take your children, talk with other parents and grandparents, visit our animals and fish, read the newspaper, magazines, and visit our parents and disability section, and more. ALL FOR FREE!!! So next time you want to get out consider going to your library, the Meriden Public Library!! On Fridays we have a special program for children under the age of 2 and their parent of caregiver. This program includes stories, music, fingerplays, and socialization. These program dates are as follows September 13, 27, October 11,25, and November 8th. Registration can be called in at (203) 630-6347 or you can do this in person.
