In the 1890's, a group of ladies from the Thursday Morning Club decided to raise money through tea parties to build a library. One hundred years of library service were recently commemorated at a High Tea held at the Augusta Curtis Cultural Center. The Center , which was the location of the former Library, brought back fond memories to the guests at the Tea. Reference librarians Jan Franco and April Ferron co-chaired the event, the proceeds of which will fill the Wish Tree fund to buy needed items for the Library.
