Big View Meeting Details for December 30

December 26, 2010

There was no Big View Meeting in November due to the Thanksgiving holiday, which requires us to continue moving forward with an added sense of purpose and energy to achieve our short term win of helping Meriden change the way it views poverty through examining the value of education, both formal and financial.

The focus of our Big View Meeting is to look at ALL of the barriers that keep people in poverty, however the Meriden Big View is focusing on how to assist the community, particularly the low income community, with placing a higher priority on education, both formal and financial. If you have any ideas, or are personally working on addressing the barriers that keep people in poverty, please attend the Big View Meeting and share your ideas with us.

The purpose of the Big View Meeting is to help Meriden change the way it views poverty so that the community believes it can end poverty and is ready to take action in doing so. The Big View Meeting is results oriented and requires the participation of all sectors of the community to achieve this goal, so please join us.

Please contact me if you have any questions, ideas, suggestions or would like to contribute to the Big View Meeting. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
