For many employers in the area, finding people with the right background in a tight labor market can be difficult. For other employers, the senior employment and training services provided by the Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH) have proven to be a valuable resource. Services provided through the Senior Program have assisted hundreds of people who are 55 years and older to secure employment. Private companies and non-profit organizations have contacted the CAANH for assistance in filling vacancies with people selected and trained through the program.
