Usually through food bank donations and other local sources, New Opportunities of Greater Meriden is able to give 200 - 250 turkey baskets to needy Meriden households for the holidays. Unfortunately, the agency recently learned that the Connecticut Food Bank is unable to provide local agencies with turkeys this year. The agency is making a plea to local businesses and individuals in our community to help. Please contact Larry Elliott for details on how you can help make a difference.
