The Friends held their annual summer social on June 21st at the PBA grounds on Birdsey Avenue. The picnic event, attended by 150 members, was catered by Carm Trotta, with entertainment by the Gonkus Brothers. It was announced that the proceeds of the downtown Brewfest in September will be donated to the new Friends Bookstore which will have its grand opening on the Evening of Celebration on September 20th.
