The Friends of the Meriden Public Library has elected the following officers for 2017: President, Frank W. Ridley; Vice President, Larry Kibner; Treasurer, Jerry Dion; Secretary, Patricia Kenney; and Assistant Treasurer, David Skinnon. The Friends group operates a used book store (entrance is the parking lot side of the library). Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. Currently the Friends are in the midst of their annual membership drive from both individuals and businesses in the area.
