Traffic Construction Update

Construction Update from CT Dept of Transportation: I-691 E/I-91 Northbound Interchange. -Sunday, November 19 through Tuesday, November 21, during nighttime hours, crews will be removing concrete haunch along bridge edges on the I-691 westbound. This work will require a ramp closure at the I-691 West off-ramp to I-91 South. -Monday, November 20 and Tuesday, November 21, during nighttime hours, crews will be removing concrete haunch along bridge edges on I-91 northbound. This work will require a double right lane closure on I-91 northbound between Exit 17 and Exit 20. -Monday, November 27, through Friday, December 1, during daytime hours, between 7 AM and 3 PM, crews will be conducting bridge excavation work at Preston Avenue. This work will require alternating one-way traffic on Preston Avenue. -TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Work will be conducted primarily during nighttime hours, from 8 PM to 6 AM and occasionally during daytime hours from 7 AM to 3 PM. One or two travel lanes along I-691 eastbound and westbound, I-91 northbound, and CT Route 66 westbound may be closed to traffic while nighttime work is underway. Closures may also occur at the I-691 East and West off-ramps and the Route 66 West off-ramp. Off-ramp detours will be signed for motorists. During daytime construction, alternating one-way traffic will occur on Preston Avenue. Motorists are reminded to use caution and be attentive as they travel throughout the work zone. -No lane or ramp closures are expected between Wednesday, November 22, and Sunday, November 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. https://www.i-91i-691route15interchange.com/update-for-the-week-of-november-19-2023/
