Wallingford Wellness Series - Lifestyle Modifications to Reduce Stress

Masonicare is pleased to announce a partnership with the town of Wallingford to provide a 4-month Wellness Series beginning in March on topics of interest to the community at large. The first of these free educational presentations is "Lifestyle Modifications to Reduce Stress." Attendees will learn how to define stress and the various triggers; outline strategies for taking charge of your behaviors, thoughts and emotions; explore healthy behaviors of self-care; the avoidance of unnecessary stressors and dealing with stressors beyond our control.

Choose from 3 dates and locations:

- Tuesday, March 15 - 5:15 p.m. - Wallingford Town Hall, 45 South Main Street - Wednesday, March 23 - 6:00 p.m. - Masonicare Medical Office Building, 67 Masonic Avenue - Thursday, March 31 - 3:30 p.m. - Wallingford Library, 200 North Main Street

Guest speaker Jennifer King is the Executive Director of The Masonic Charity Foundation of Connecticut. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance and has been an avid practitioner of yoga and meditation for over 11 years. Jennifer has trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with the Center for Mindfulness at the UMass Medical School, and has also completed a professional training in therapeutic yoga with faculty at Duke Integrative Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. She has presented extensively on the topic of stress reduction at community centers and health and wellness facilities across Connecticut.
