Gallery 53, of the Arts and Crafts Association of Meriden, 53 Colony Street, is offering many art classes beginning September 13. These include weekday classes in pottery for children 7-10 years old (Tues., after school); watercolor, pastel and oil painting; a Saturday sculpture class for teens and adults; and day-long Saturday workshops for teens and adults in fused glass (Sept. 10), watercolor painting (Sept. 24), and collage (Oct. 15). The Gallery also has a Tuesday morning portrait group that works from a clothed model but without an instructor. Please call the Gallery for more information (203) 235-5347.
