A "TRIPLE CROWN" FOR KUHN

At a recent trade association event, individuals associated Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc. were honored with recognition in all three categories of service distinction.

Each year Connecticut Community Providers Association (CCPA) accepts nominations of persons and businesses that demonstrate exemplary community service to consumers with disabilities. Awards were presented by the (CCPA) to a Kuhn staff person, a Kuhn employer and a Kuhn worker (consumer) in recognition of their achievements.

The award ceremony was held on September 13th and 14th in Farmington, Connecticut. Geoff Crandall, a Kuhn Employment Specialist, was presented with an award for Outstanding Direct Care. He was acknowledged for his compassion and going "above and beyond" to assist his clients in need. Attorney Carella, of Carella Law Offices in Middletown (pictured on right), received an award for his outstanding community support to individuals with disabilities. Attorney Carella employs a participant in the Kuhn Supported Employment Program, and has worked to encourage others to look past the disability and recognize individual abilities. Alice Marvin (pictured on left), a client in Kuhn's Middletown's Supported Vocational Mentor Program was recognized as an Outstanding Consumer. Alice's success as a result of her determination and work ethic was acknowledged.
