Meriden's Emergency Services is holding an interfaith service of HOPE for all Emergency Service Workers and Citizens to offer prayer and share together our community of patriotism in the aftermath of the horrific tragedy that has struck our great nation. Many innocent people and many Emergency Service Workers have lost their lives while engaged in life saving rescue and recovery efforts. We will offer prayer for those that have given the ultimate sacrifice, and for their families; for those who are engaged in the rescue and recovery efforts; and we will pray for Hope for all of America that we will come together and be a stronger united people. The service will take place TONIGHT, 09/14/2001, at St. Joseph Church 177 West Main Street Meriden at 7 p.m. A candlelight vigil following service. We are also accepting non-perishable foods and water to send to the disaster relief stations for New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. If you wish to donate, you may drop it off at our office on West Main Street or call me at 514-5111 and I will have it picked up.
