Meriden Hosts First Aid Training Camporee

January 27, 2010

Every year the United States of America Celebrates the Emergency Medical Services throughout the Country during National EMS Week. When the Sleeping Giant District approached Hunter's Ambulance for its help in the theme of a First Aid training Camporee The Service felt it would be a grand idea in helping the scouting commuity work on earning their First Aid Merit Badge, along with a great way to start off Natonal EMS Week. With total surprise when we reached out to the EMT's & Paramedics for their help, so many stepped forward being proud of having been scouts and on top of it so many hold the honor of being Eagle Scouts.

Besides First Aid being a required earned Merit Badge to reach the rank of Eagle. First Aid is one of the most important practical skills any person will need and use throughout their lives.

Having the skill, compassion and will to step forward in helping another human being in their time of need is one of the most noble and humanitarian services any services any one person could offer.

The Emergency Services within Meriden and throughout Connecticut are proud to be part of the 2010 FIRST AID SPRING CAMPOREE. And we the personnel that make up emergency services here in Connecticut Salute you the Boy Scout and the Boy Scouts of America for all you have done in the last 100 years.
