It is with great pride that Hunter's Ambulance announces that the Meriden Elks selected Todd Ricci as the recipient of their Public Safety Award ~ Paramedic. Todd received his award during a ceremony held on Saturday, February 26th. This event was attended by over 200 people including Todd's proud family, Hunter's management and many friends.

Todd was selected based upon his professionalism, determination, dedication, devotion, compassion and his "Concern for Others." Todd shared this honor along with Officer Stanley Zajac, Meriden Police Department, Firefighter Paul Torres, Meriden Fire Department, Lieutenant David Ford, South Meriden Volunteer Fire Department and Dispatcher Andrea Lorenzetti, Meriden Central Dispatch.

Mark D. Benigni, Mayor of the City of Meriden, proclaimed Tuesday, March 1, 2005 as Todd Ricci Day in thanks and appreciation for Todd's devotion in public safety.

Todd joined Hunter's Ambulance in 1985 and he began his career in the Non-Emergency Chair Car Division. Todd maintained an intense desire to help those in need. This desire led him to enroll in medical training courses, which he mastered, and his career with Hunter's expanded. Todd attained the State of Connecticut Certifications of Emergency Medical Technician, IV-Technician and Paramedic. Through his years, he has received countless commendations and accolades for his exceptional patient care and the knowledge that he imparts upon his partners. He is well respected by his peers. He epitomizes compassion and generosity in all aspects of his life.

Todd was also recognized as Hunter's Distinguished Employee of the Paramedic Division during the Hunter's Annual Holiday and Awards Celebration on December 12, 2004. He received this award based upon recommendations from his supervisors, managers. His drive, determination and vision to help those in need. He exemplifies their company's motto, "Concern for Others."
