On Saturday, March 15, 2003, David Lowell, Director of Operations of Hunter's Ambulance Service was awarded the Dr. A.E. Hertzler Knox Award for excellence of lifetime service in Emergency Medical Services in Connecticut at the EMS Conference held at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center, attended by over 400 people. The Dr. A. E. Hertzler Knox Award was established in 1983 to recognize and honor Dr. Knox for bringing the emergency medical program to the forefront of many political and medical agendas. This Award is presented to others who have made significant contributions to Emergency Medical Services.Although David has many years ahead of him in the world of Emergency Medical Services, he has embraced an enormous amount of work in his activity of EMS.
