The annual summer camp provides activities for 145 children. The eight-week project began June 18th and ends August 10th, changing themes every two weeks. The day begins with a group Pledge of Allegiance and a song; then the girls break into activities suited to various ages. The organization welcome boys during the year but limits the summer camp to girls. Volunteers range from 7th grade through high school and find working with their students fun. The supervision proves valuable to those girls planning to major in elementary education. Academic activities are available in the SMART room, which also is home to a pet snake and roaches. Susan Moore, the program director, maintains that the club provides a family atmosphere which keeps girls coming back. Susan and Executive Director Maria Trella-Drauss joined the club as children and grew up to become club administrators
