On May 9th, the club honored Cindy Johnson, Principal of Casimir Pulaski School, as its second Strong, Smart, Bold Woman of our Community. Cindy has been cited as an inspiration, since she completed her education after having her family, and now heads the city's largest elementary school. She received glowing praises from School Superintendent Beth Ruocco and Meriden Mayor Joe Marinan. Cindy in turn commended Girls Inc. for encouraging children to learn, laugh and stretch their imaginations. A scholarship honoring former Executive Director Maureen Bilger was presented to Annie Roesler from Maloney High School. Deputy Mayor Laura Gallo invited everyone present to contribute toward their community.
