Raising responsible and cooperative children is not an easy task in today's society. If you are seeking understanding and direction on how to practically and creatively "parent" your children, join Dr. Thomas Finn in a series of discussions and workshops on: RAISING RESPONSIBLE AND COOPERATIVE CHILDREN, Wednesday, March 30, and April 6, 2005, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m., at the Chiara Center, 275 Finch Avenue, on the campus of the Franciscan Life Center, Meriden, CT. The parenting workshop is designed for parents, with children under 13 years of age, to sharpen their abilities to communicate with their children and to develop effective discipline strategies. Workshop discussions include: using effective communication styles, setting effective limits on behavior, balancing warmth and firmness, blending positive/negative consequences, controlling anger, responding to whining and complaining and avoiding power struggles and having your buttons pushed.
