The Franciscan Life Center, 271 Finch Avenue, Meriden, CT, is offering a day-long seminar on Saturday, October 23, 1999, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., designed to build social confidence in people who suffer from fear, anxiety, and inhibition in social situations. The seminar, under the direction of Dr. Tom Finn, will include lectures, discussions and activities geared for fun and learning. Join with others to identify the physical, cognitive and behavioral signs of shyness and social anxiety, understand its roots, improve your social skills and develop personal exercises to keep building confidence.
