Eversource Provides On-the-Go Access for Outage & Restoration Info

Beginning today Eversource is providing on-the-go access to important outage and restoration information for all electric customers. Our new outage alerts are available in three convenient channels: text, email or phone, to match our customer's lifestyles.With the six points of information our customers most value, the proactive alerts provide important updates on outages in our communities throughout the restoration process. Beginning with the estimated time of restoration, the alerts can include updates from our restoration crews when they arrive on site, the outage cause, updates to the estimated time of restoration, number of customers restored and the restoration time. Our customers will also receive notifications of impending storms, or inclement weather that could impact the electric system, as well as helpful updates on efforts underway to prepare for any resulting power outages.
This fast access to updates delivered directly to our customers is all part of a comprehensive approach to ensuring we provide every customer with actionable information on important topics year round. We're adding additional topics next year for on-the-go updates on bill payments and more.
We are sharing this exciting enhancement with customers in a variety of ways, including direct outreach, bill and web communications, and social media. Our Call Center Representatives are also looking forward to answering any questions about the new outage alerts that our customers may have.
