Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation Awards Grant to Support Donate Life CT's 2013 Toast to Life Fundraiser

April 16, 2013

The Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation awarded a $1,500 grant to Donate Life Connecticut to support its 2013 Toast to Life Fundraiser to be held on June 5th at Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, CT.

"We are obliged to support this organization and its fundraising efforts to help them continue in their important quest to increase the Donor Registry," said Charles J. Boulier III, President and CEO, Naugatuck Savings Bank. "By supporting their goal, it can only increase the number of transplants that can give new life and hope to the people that need them."

Donate Life Connecticut is dedicated to the purpose of public education and awareness for all Connecticut residents concerning the lifesaving benefits of organ and tissue donation and increasing the number of registered donors. It is a coalition of transplant professionals, donor family members, transplant recipients, and living donors who are dedicated to its mission. Through the tremendous outreach efforts of volunteers, its programs reach high school and college students, places of worship, and civic organizations in local communities.

"We appreciate Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation's support for Donate Life and the 2013 Toast to Live Fundraiser," said Kari Mull, Donate Life Connecticut Director. "One donor has the potential to save and improve the lives of over 50 others. With over 1,300 Connecticut men, women and children waiting for a life-saving organ donor, we encourage all Connecticut residents to register as a donor when renewing their driver's license or online by visiting our website."
