Kathleen McPadden Joins Nutmeg Financial, MHC

Kathleen A. McPadden has joined Nutmeg Financial, MHC as Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, Mrs. McPadden will be responsible for overseeing human resources and training for the Nutmeg Financial, MHC companies - Naugatuck Savings Bank and Sutherland Insurance Group and serves on the Bank's Executive Management Committee."Kathleen's vast knowledge and experience with human resources will enable her to help our organization by providing training and development programs for our employees in a positive, secure working environment" said Mark C. Yanarella, President and CEO, Naugatuck Savings Bank. "We believe the only way to provide our customers with exceptional service is to have exceptional employees on our team."
Kathleen McPadden has 31 years of banking experience with concentration in Human Resources for the past 24 years. Prior to joining Naugatuck Savings Bank, she was the Director of Human Resources at Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan in Naugatuck.
Kathleen received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Connecticut State University and a Master of Science in Organizational Behavior from the University of Hartford. Mrs. McPadden also is a graduate of America's Community Bankers National School of Banking.
She is a current Board Member of United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls, Wellpath, Jane Doe No More and YMCA of Naugatuck as well as a committee member of the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life of Greater Waterbury. Kathleen previously served as a Board member of the Morris Foundation, Junior Achievement Community Program teacher and a volunteer for Special Olympics Penguin Plunge. She was the 2010 recipient of the United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls Mary H. Connolly Community Caring Award. Kathleen is a lifelong resident of Naugatuck and resides there with her husband Jim.
Nutmeg Financial, MHC is a non-stock mutual holding company formed in 2005 by Naugatuck Savings Bank. In 2005, John M. Sutherland Insurance, Inc. was added to the company, an agency operating in Naugatuck since 1915.
