John Barry Celebrates Expanded Learning John Barry Elementary School Celebrates Expanded Learning

The John Barry School Community recently celebrated 30 schools days of expanded learning. Together with community partners such as the Meriden Police, Meriden Fire Department, Hunters Ambulance, YMCA, and Valentin Karate, they celebrated the successful launch of this new initiative which added 100 more minutes of learning and enrichment for the students of John Barry. They bounced, danced, learned about the community partners, decorated pumpkins, and most importantly, celebrated their successes. Congratulations to the teachers and students of John Barry School for this amazing accomplishment. Congratulations also to Principal Torres-Brown who was acknowledged at this celebration for being CT's First Year Outstanding Principal Award Recipient.
