After two and a half years, Castle Bank is no longer a start-up business. In this shaky economic climate, the bank has demonstrated a profit for last year. Its growth was due partly to new deposits and writing new loans. Among its peer group, Castle Bank leads in assets. Customers displeased by bank mergers and local branches of out of state companies welcome the small town banks, along with the State Department of Banking and local businesses. In building the bank, President and Chief Executive Officer Larry McGoldrick hopes to continue rebuilding downtown. Castle provided many of the loans for the expansion and growth of local businesses, and worked closely with various economic development groups. Customers appreciate the opportunity to develop a relationship with people in the bank.
