GreenBank Offers Free EV Charging Stations to Commercial Property Owners

February 5, 2020

GreenBank Offers Free EV Charging Stations to Commercial Property Owners Connecticut Green Bank recently launched Charge Up CT Buildings, a new initiative that offers free electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and installation to commercial property owners. The program helps modernize properties while combating two of the state's largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions: transportation and commercial/industrial buildings. In order to qualify for a free dual-port EV Service Equipment (EVSE) and installation, building owners must finance at least $150,000 through Connecticut Green Bank's C-PACE financing option with at least 20 percent of total project costs going toward non-renewable measures. Projects over $400,000 may be eligible to receive a second dual port EVSE, and projects over $750,000 may be eligible to receive a third dual port EVSE. Building owners must submit a C-PACE financing application before May 15, 2020 to qualify for this promotion. For more information about the initiative, visit https://www.chargeupctbuildings.com/.
