The applications for the Sanford S. Shorr Education Awards have been sent to area high schools (Platt, Maloney, Mercy, St. Paul and Xavier). The deadline for return of the applications is February 28, 2005. If you are a Meriden resident and would like to apply for the education award, please obtain the application from one of the schools or call the Chamber office. An award is available for a graduating high school senior and returning college students. The awards will be presented at the Chamber's 109th Annual Dinner to be held in early April 2005.
