Women in Leadership 2009

The Women and Families Center cordially invites you to attend the 24th Annual Women in Leadership Benefit Luncheon. This year's event is scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville. Women throughout the area are honored for their contributions to the community and to their personal fields of expertise. Once again, Desiree Fontaine will preside over the event as Mistress of Ceremonies. We are also pleased to announce that the Connecticut Woman in Leadership of 2009 is Marna Borgstrom, the Chief Executive Officer of Yale-New Haven Hospital. This year, we are adding a silent auction to our fundraising event. All proceeds will support the services provided by our organization which include child care, street outreach for at-risk and homeless youth, employment training for low-income men and women, and accompaniment and advocacy to victims of sexual assault. Tickets are $75.00 (with reception) and $50 (luncheon only). For more information please call 203-235-9297.
