The Women and Families Center has announced the recipient of the 2003 Connecticut Woman In Leadership Award. Adrianne Baughns-Wallace, Director of Financial Education for the State of Connecticut Department of the Treasurer will accept the award at the Center's 18th Annual "In the Company of Leaders Luncheon" on May 1st at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. Several local women will be honored as well at the luncheon. Dana Hunter-Moyer, Hunter's Ambulance for the Business Category; Linda Owsianik, The Cove and Girls, Inc. for Community Service; Gladys Labas, Maloney High School in the Education Category; Jackie Fordiani, City of Meriden in the Government Category; Sister Ann Noonon, Miller Memorial Community, Inc. representing Health Care; Pauline Bouffard, Meriden Wallingford Society in the Human Services Category; Rose Cignatta, Gallery 53 for the Role Model Category; and Cindi Floridia, Women & Families Center Volunteer of the Year. Joanne Nesti will preside over the event as the Mistress of Ceremonies. Join us on May 1st in congratulating these women on their noteworthy achievements.
