Village Retirement Communities, a catered retirement and assisted living company, recently opened a new community in Meriden. The Village at Kensington Place features 110 apartments, 82 of which offer independent and assisted living and 28 Alzheimer's units for adults 55 and older. Some amenities offered include a tea room, English style pub, Las Vegas room, art gallery, computer center and bridge club just to name a few! They provide 24 hour security and a highly trained, professional staff. The Village at Kensington Place celebrated the opening with a well-attended professional breakfast on Tuesday, June 26 that included various speakers and tours of the facility. It was a lovely introduction to the new community. The Village at Kensington Place is one of ten Village Retirement Communities offering catered retirement and assisted living as well as assisted living for people with Alzheimer's. Village Retirement Communities, founded in 1990, is headquartered in Greenville, RI and owns and operates residences in RI, MA, and CT. We would like to extend a warm welcome to the new facility.
