VITA and 6 Good Reasons to Become a Volunteer

Tax season is right and the corner and we actively looking for more volunteers! What we would like to ask each of you is if you can help us spread the word out about the VITA [Volunteer Income Tax Assistance] Program and help us recruit new volunteers either internally through your staff, externally through your customer / student base or both. Volunteers are needed for: Meriden and Wallingford.
6 GOOD REASONS TO BECOME A VITA VOLUTEER:
1. You don't need to be an accountant and you don't need experience.
2. IRS will train you - for free. Training will prepare you to pass the certification test.
3. Flexible hours that fit your schedule.
4. Convenient locations. HRA tax sites are located in Meriden and Wallingford.
5. You'll feel pride to be part of a nationwide program that has helped low-income people file tax returns at no cost for over 40 years.
6. Simply put, you'll feel good helping your community - and you'll have fun doing it with HRA's dedicated team that has been preparing returns since 2004.
