Diabetes Prevention and Nutrition Workshop Lunch and Learn

Please join us for a lunch and learn presentation at the Meriden YMCA. Amanda Perriello and Philip Silverio from Gaylord Specialty Healthcare will discuss Diabetes and Nutrition including: Pathology, Signs and Symptoms , Nutrition and Exercise Management, and Managing Complications. Presenters: Amanda Perriello, R.D is a Registered Dietitian who earned her B.S. in Allied Health and Dietetics through the University of Connecticut's Coordinated Dietetics Program in May 2018. She works as a Clinical Dietitian at Gaylord where she provides medical nutrition therapy to patients as part of their rehabilitation. Amanda also provides coverage at two other hospitals in Connecticut. Her interests include diabetes, kidney disease, and general wellness. Philip Silverio PT, DPT, OCS, CMPT earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and a section member of Orthopedics and Sports Physical Therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association. Phil is a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (NAIOMT) and a Functional Dry Needling provider and is the Clinical Supervisor at the Cheshire Gaylord Physical Therapy Clinic. Lunch will be served. WHEN: Friday January 17th 11:45 AM - 1:00 PM FEE: $5 per person for Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA members $10 per person for guests REGISTER: Preregister at the Meriden YMCA, 110 W.
