A Piece of Cake at MSFCU!

February 17, 2011

Meriden Schools Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial institution, was chartered on February 18, 1936 "to promote thrift among its members, by affording them an opportunity for accumulating their savings and to create for them a source of credit for loans for provident or productive purposes."

This year they celebrate 75 years of "People before Profits" and they want everyone to know! Slices of the 75th Anniversary cake were served to everyone in the lobby of the credit union by CEO Ed Hogan in February. They will be celebrating with many more special loan and VISA offers, contests, raffles, events and promotions throughout the year to express their appreciation to their members.

MSFCU was first created in 1936 by a group of Meriden school teachers in the basement of one of their houses. Today MSFCU is proud to serve all Meriden Board of Education employees, Meriden public high school students, and the employees of many area companies and their families. If you own, or work for, a company that would like to provide credit union access to your employees, log on to our website MeridenSchoolsFCU.com or call us at 203-237-6424 x35.
