Jon-Paul ("JP") Venoit, President of Ashlar Villag ...

Jon-Paul ("JP") Venoit, President of Ashlar Village, Masonicare's Continuing Care Retirement Community in Wallingford, has been named one of the "40 Under 40" awardees by The New Haven Business Times. Mr. Venoit, along with the other "40 under 40s," was recognized at a breakfast event held in New Haven on October 7. This annual event honors forty successful business people under the age of 40 who volunteer their time within the community.

Stephen B. McPherson, President and CEO of Masonicare, was pleased to make the announcement. "I congratulate JP on receiving this special honor. It is a recognition of his commitment and dedication, not only to the residents and employees of Ashlar Village, but to the community at large."

Mr. Venoit has been president of Ashlar Village since 2001. Prior to that, he was Assistant Administrator at Ashlar Village. Ashlar Village is the largest Continuing Care Retirement Community in Connecticut and recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary. Ashlar Village is undergoing an expansion that will nearly double its size while responding to market demands for more spacious retirement living.

Mr. Venoit is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a B.S. degree in finance and insurance. He is vice president of the Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA) and is on the Board of the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber, which serves the communities of Wallingford and North Haven, nominated him for this honor. He is a Mason and is Master of his Lodge, Compass No. 9 in Wallingford Mr. Venoit and his wife, Christine, live in Wallingford with their two young sons, Ethan and Trevor.
