Gallery 53, Arts & Crafts Assoc. of Meriden Inc., (ACAM) will present an exhibit from its extensive permanent collection of oil, watercolor, and pastel paintings, lithographs, and drawings. The exhibit will run from August 6 - August 31. This collection has been acquired since the 1940's and represents many area artists as well as artists from New York and New England. They include Eric Sloane, Emil Gruppe, Philip Kappel, Stow Wengenroth, George Kirschmann, and C. Gordon Harris. A reception will be held on Saturday, August 10 from 2-4 p.m. The public is welcome and there is no charge. Gallery hours are Tuesday - Friday: noon - 4 p.m. and Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Gallery 53 is located next to Butler's Paint & Decorating Company across from First Congregational Church.
