Two classworks of students are going to be at Gall ...

Two classworks of students are going to be at Gallery 53 of the Arts & Crafts Association of Meriden. Classworks One is an exhibit of the students from Washington Middle School, Lincoln Middle School and Edison Magnet School to be held on May 24th through June 5th. The reception is Friday, May 31st from 4:00 to 7;00 p.m. with music by the Lincoln Jazz Combo. Refreshments will be served. Classworks Two is an exhibit by the students of the Arts & Crafts Association of Meriden. It will be held from June 15th through July 6th at Gallery 53. A reception will be held on June 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Professional cartoonist Tod Smith, who has worked for DC and Marvel Comics and now draws "Elvira", will give a demonstration on Sunday, June 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at Gallery 53. It is $ 1.00 for l8 years and younger, and $ 4.00 for adults. Youngsters through 10 years old need to be with an adult. The demo will be on the second floor of the Gallery. Early registration to the Gallery is suggested. On June 11th at 6:30 p.m., the Annual Meeting and Election of Officers with a potluck supper will be held at the Gallery. All members, friends, and the public are welcome. Please bring your special dish. Please phone the Gallery for reservations. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from Noon to 2:00 p.m. at 53 Colony Street. The Gallery is located next to Butler Paint & Decorating and across the street from the First Congregational Church. There is free parking across the street.
