Meriden Author Wins Award

"Asylum", a dark suspense saga by local author Kathryn Orzech, recently won the top slot in the Mystery Fiction Category at IPNE 2016 Book Awards. The judging was by a panel of New England librarians. Asylum is set in and around Meriden and Hartford in 1899 and 1974. The novel's fictitious family business was inspired by the author's work experience as a designer at the Napier Company. Signed copies of Asylum are sold in Meriden exclusively at Gallery 53 located at 53 Colony St., Meriden, CT.
