Photographs by Jim Lindsay of Middletown will be on exhibit at Gallery 53 of the Arts and Crafts Association of Meriden from March 31st through April 28th. Entitled "Snap Shooting", the collection of 45 color prints reflects the artist's interests in abstracting forms and colors found in everyday life. The opening reception at the Gallery will be on Saturday, March 31st from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Gallery hours are 12 Noon to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 53 Colony Street, Meriden, next to Butler's Paint Store and across the street from the First Congregational Church. There is free parking across the street and easy access to major highways. Founded in 1907, the Association is the oldest continually run visual arts organization in the state. It offers regular art exhibits, workshops and classes at its Gallery and Arts Center with a year-round gift shop. Phone the Gallery at 203-235-5347 for more information.
