84th Annual Open Juried Art Exhibition

The Arts and Crafts Association of Meriden/Gallery 53 will be presenting a juried art show October 4 - 24, 2008. There will be more than $2000 awarded in prizes with $500.00 being awarded for best in show. Receiving dates are: Friday, Sept 26 from 12:00 t 4:00 pm and Saturday, Sept 27 from 10:00 to 2:00 pm. The reception and award ceremony will be Saturday Oct 4th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Categories are Paintings (oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and mixed media), Sculpture, Drawings, Graphics, Crafts, and Photography. John Massimino will be judging the show. Mr. Massimino is a member of many outstanding art associations, and is honored in Who's Who in the East (U.S.A), the Dictionary of International Biography, Men of Achievement and the NASA Team of Artists. He taught at the Paier College of Art in Connecticut for over 20 years and is currently a visiting professor. The Gallery is located at 53 Colony St.. Meriden, CT and is open Tuesday through Friday, 12-4 pm, and Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 pm. Events are free and ample parking space is available across the street.
